After the Courts put the Presidential Primary back on, Voters will Vote for: Presidential, Federal, State, and Special Election Ballots on June 23rd, 2020.
June 23rd, 2020 – Special Election to fill a Vacancy in Congressional District 27, Counties: part of Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Ontario, Orleans, and Wyoming. The Early Voting period for this Special Election will be June 13th, 2020 – June 21th, 2020.
June 23rd, 2020 – Presidential, State, and Federal Primary Elections. The Early Voting period for these Primary will be June 13th, 2020 – June 21st, 2020.
In order to Accommodate Voters with Disabilities, several Measures have been made to ensure that Voters can Apply for, and Vote, with an Absentee Ballot in an independent and Private Manner.
- A Screen Readable and Fillable Absentee Ballot Application is available on the New York State Board of Elections Website. All Voters may Select “Temporary Illness or Physical Disability” as their Reason for Requesting an Absentee Ballot due to the Potential of Contracting COVID-19.
- Executive Order 202.15 allows Voters to Email, Mail, Fax, or Deliver in Person the Application to their Local County Board of Elections. Per the Executive Order, there is No Requirement for In-Person Signature or Appearance to receive an Absentee Ballot.
- Executive Order 202.26 allows Ballot Marking Devices will be maintained at Local Boards of Elections’ Offices to ensure that Voters will be able to Vote their Absentee Ballot Independently and Privately without having to visit an Early Voting Site or Poll Site.
ImageCast - is a Ballot Marking Device that allows a Voter with Disabilities to Privately and Independently Vote on a Paper Ballot. Audio and Tactile Interfaces allow Voters with Sight Challenges to Complete their Ballot. Voters can Listen to the Selections over Headphones, or View an LCD Screen with an Image of their Ballot that can be Adjusted for Size and Contrast. A "Sip-N-Puff" or Paddle Device may also be used by Voters with Limited Hand Dexterity.
ES&S AutoMARK - The AutoMark is a Ballot Marking Device designed to provide Privacy and Accessibility to Voters who are Blind, Vision-Impaired, or have a Disability or Condition that would make it Difficult or Impossible to Mark a Ballot. In addition, it provides Language Assistance to Voters who are more Comfortable Speaking an Alternative Language or who have Reading Difficulties. The AutoMark Ballot Marking Device is also Equipped for Sip-N-Puff and Paddle Devices to assist Voters with Hand Dexterity challenges.
