TOLEDO, Ohio — WTOL 11 Weather forecast:
- Sunny and mild for Mud Hens opening day
- Rain returns Friday night into Saturday
- Dry and comfortable Easter Sunday
- Wet weather likely early next week
- Warming trend back up to the 60s
Low temperatures overnight into Friday will plunge near to below freezing.
The Friday morning commute will be chilly but sunny with temperatures in the low 30s. Afternoon sunshine will quickly lift high temperatures to the upper 50s.
Opening day at Fifth Third Field will feature a home run of a forecast with mild temperatures, spring sunshine, and fairly calm winds out of the northwest at 5-15 mph. Temperatures will drop back to the 40s after the game as cloud cover gradually increases.
Our next weather disturbance will bring widespread rain showers Friday night into Saturday morning.
A few pockets of steadier rain and thunder are possible around daybreak Saturday, though severe weather is not expected. Showers will grow lighter and more scattered by late morning, and much of the day Saturday will bring dry and mild conditions with temperatures in the upper 50s.
Dry weather is expected Saturday night into Sunday morning for Easter egg hunts, but it will feel a bit chilly with temperatures in the upper 30s.
Easter Sunday will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies with high temperatures in the 50s.
Another spring storm system will bring more showers Sunday night into Monday to kick off the month of April. An easterly lake breeze may develop as an area of low pressure moves into the Ohio Valley.
More widespread rain chances and possibly a few thunderstorms are likely Monday night into Tuesday as the damp feel continues.
Dry weather will return midweek along with temperatures in the 50s.
The first weekend of April will bring a warmup back to the 60s.
