Police looking for 'person of interest' in cash robbery at Chambersburg Sheetz

A man took an undisclosed amount of cash from a convenience store in Chambersburg Wednesday morning, police said.

The incident was reported at 1:51 a.m. at the Sheetz store, 1 Monticello Court, according to the Chambersburg Police Department. The street links Lincoln Way West and West Loudon Street near where U.S. 30 splits.

Police seek the public's help to identify the man in this photo. "The person shown in the photos may have information relevant to this incident," police said.  "He/she is a person of interest, but not necessarily a suspect at this time."

A black man wearing a black beanie hat, gray jacket and black pants with a covering over his face entered the store and demanded money from the clerk, police reported.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash then fled on foot towards Lincoln Way West.
