The victim, a 29-year-old man, was found at home with gunshot wounds after a confrontation, according to police Cmdr. Luis McArthur.

The victim was taken to Ventura County Medical Center and was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, and he is now in stable condition, he said. Officers are still looking for one or more suspects.

"All we know is that there was a confrontation between the victim that was shot and perhaps one or more suspects, and as a result someone took out a gun and shot him and he was hit at least twice, and from there, he went home," said McArthur.

Officers canvassed the area and spoke with at least one witness and are trying to develop leads on the suspect or suspects, he said.
