On Friday, April 3, Weis Markets announced the installment of sneeze guards in all store locations.

The protective panels are an additional measure taken by the supermarket chain to reduce the potential spread of the novel coronavirus.

"During these challenging times, we are working hard to ensure the safety of our associates and customers. Over the past week, we’ve taken additional steps to provide a safe work and shopping environment,”  Weis Markets CEO Jonathan Weis said in a statement. “In the coming weeks, we will continue to implement additional preventative measures for the benefit of the public."
