Man charged with aggravated assault following reported assault with a gun

A man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault Friday night. 

Around 6 p.m. the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence west of Hartford for a report of an assault with a gun. According to a press release, deputies began a dialogue with the suspect, Scott Nothdurft, and the Minnehaha County SWAT team was called to the scene. 

Nothdurft, 55, was taken into custody "some time later" without further incident according to the release,
