23 Things This Week Vol. 13/2020

How has your week been? I truly hope everyone is being as safe as they can possibly be. The news this week has been horrific … but we’re keeping on keeping on as they say. So in that spirit, here’s what I checked out on the interwebz this week – what to read, watch, cook, and do at home.

To Read

spring reads

ONE+ The Social Distance Mega List of What to Read: Lists of Lists has you covered with reading recommendations for … ever!

TWO+ But just in case you need more check out this Massive List of End-of-Days Books to Read During the Pandemic and Eight Spring Horror Titles To Scare Your (Winter) Socks Off.

THREE+ Plus these 36 Highly Popular Audiobooks if listening to books is more your jam right now.

FOUR+ Or maybe these 33 of the Best Book Podcasts for All Genres might be more your thing.

FIVE+ Where are you getting books from these days? Here are 8 solutions if you’re stuck at home with no books to read.

SIX+ On the more social side of things, We Are Bookish lists some virtual events with authors and book conventions happening online over the next few months.

SEVEN+ And although Spring has just started (here in the US) … let’s plan ahead with The most anticipated books of summer 2020.

EIGHT+ Speaking of planning for the future – check out these 8 Sci-Fi and Fantasy Books to Read (or Re-Read) Before Their Adaptations Hit the Screen.

To Watch

NINE+ TV Tuesday: Spring 2020 Preview … are you watching any of these shows?

TEN+ I’ve seen almost all of the 8 TV Shows to Watch if You Loved “You” and they’re guhhhddd!

ELEVEN+ There’s a ton of recommendations in Best TV and Netflix Series and What to Watch on TV Right Now.

To Organize & Be Productive

Coach Purse and Phone

TWELVE+ I watched 15 Tiny Ways to Get Your Life Together (Youtube) earlier this week and was reminded about using WD-40 for squeaky doors. I thought ALL the doors in our house have been squeaky since we moved in 3 years ago. Made my husband do it a few days ago – no more squeak!

THIRTEEN+ I already use a few of these 13 Simple Tasks You Can Do to Make Life Easier – and they really do make life just a little bit less chaotic.

FOURTEEN+ 41 Best Apps to Keep you Busy FOREVER in 2020 … I’m still going through the list. Any apps you’d recommend?

FIFTEEN+ Financial Date Night Completely Changed Our Relationship … ok – maybe not a date night, but now that the hubs and I are doing more planning together – instead of one person taking care of it all, we’re in such a better place.

SIXTEEN+ Here’s my Work Planner Setup for 2020

At Home

SEVENTEEN+ A Spring Home Maintenance To-Do List … timely reminder of things to do especially now that many of us are home more.

EIGHTEEN+ I’m finally going to try my hand at a small vegetable garden this year, so The ten best things to plant in April is a nice resource – I’m doing lettuce and carrots.

NINETEEN+ Need some home workouts – Best At-Home Workouts To Try During The Quarantine and How to Stay in Shape Without Leaving the House have got you covered.

TWENTY+ Strava exercise challenges are also away to keep the exercise motivation going – I’ve joined a few for April.

TWENTY-ONE+ I’ve switched to monthly meal planning to reduce the number of times we go to the supermarket, and after being inspired by Kim’s How I Meal Plan for An Entire Year All At Once. A few new recipes on next month’s list came from 23 Pantry Recipes for when you don’t want to (or can’t) Leave your House.

TWENTY-TWO+ Also bookmarked Healthy Pantry and Freezer-Friendly Recipes to try some of these recipes later.

TWENTY-THREE+ – March Favorites

What have you done a lot more of this month than in the past – reading, watching tv, playing games, cooking, cleaning, organizing?

  1. Thanks for all the great resources for the current situation! I’ll definitely be referencing several of the links you shared with events, media to watch, and meal planning info. I’m particularly excited to check out some of the podcasts as I’m working from home 🙂
