Here's a list of Milwaukee-area school lunches, food pantries and more free food during coronavirus

Matt Velazquez Alec Johnson Ben Steele
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

The ongoing coronavirus outbreak has shuttered most Wisconsinites in their homes, something that was reinforced Tuesday by Gov. Tony Evers' stay-at-home order. Still, everyone's got to eat.

Keeping food on the table is not a novel challenge, but it has been exacerbated by the current conditions. Business closures, lost jobs, a suspended school year and more have increased the pool of individuals who face food shortages.

The good news is there is food out there at a variety of locations for those who need assistance.

Food pantries, like those served by the Hunger Task Force food bank, are meant for people who are in an emergency and have little or no food.

If you have information related to an organization providing food assistance, please send it to jsmetro@jrn.com. Please include the name of the organization, its address and the hours that food is being distributed.
