Theory Design’s Vice President of Design Ruta Menaghlazi created the interior for Seagate Development Group’s furnished Cayman II model at Windward Isle.

Theory Design’s Vice President of Design Ruta Menaghlazi created the interior for Seagate Development Group’s furnished Cayman II model that is open for viewing and purchase at the Windward Isle community in North Naples.  The model is being featured during the Collier Building Industry Association’s 2020 Parade of Homes today and next weekend, March 20th through 22nd.  Windward Isle is a gated enclave of 28 single-family luxury homes being developed by Seagate just south of Orange Blossom Drive on Airport-Pulling Road.  The community was named recipient of the 2019 Aurora Awards’ Residential Community of the year award.

The Cayman II model was designed by Weber Design Group.  The plan offers 4,136 square feet, including 2,719 square feet of air-conditioned living space, a covered lanai measuring 582 square feet, a 207 square foot covered entry, and a 628 square foot three-car garage.  The single-story residence features a spacious great room, dining area, and island kitchen, three bedrooms, three full baths, and a study.  The covered lanai offers an outdoor gathering space complete with a fireplace and an outdoor kitchen.

Ruta created a coastal interior design for the Cayman II that is both casual and classic.  The design evokes a comfortable, breezy feeling that compels the end-user to embrace their surroundings.  The interior features a color palette with soft white walls and warm blue, warm grey, and soft white accents with pops of gold.  The flooring is light-toned Legno Bastone hardwood.  The great room and the study feature coffered ceilings with tongue-in-groove details that are painted white.

Visitors to the Cayman II are greeted in a foyer showcasing a two-step tray ceiling with trim molding details and a weathered oak and antique forged iron globe-shaped chandelier.  A pair of consoles with angular lines feature a reclaimed washed oak finish.  The light-filled foyer is accessorized with large shells.

The study is situated immediately adjacent to the foyer and finished in a grey tone.  The furnishings are presented in a combination of iron and wood.  A dark wooden desk features a glass top and an angular silhouette and is accompanied by open shelved bookcases.  The desk chair has a roped back in a dark finish with angular lines.  Other features include a pendant lighting fixture with a mid-century modern feeling, a beautiful multi-toned rug in blues and greys, and a water color art piece in shades of grey.

The great room presents dark iron accents that convey a note of sturdiness.   The feature wall includes an espresso-toned media chest with a geometric pattern that is flanked by colorful art pieces.  Additional furnishings include a clean-lined sofa in light cream and grey, a pair of lounge chairs with woven wicker frames and fabric featuring pops of navy blue mixed with a light striae grey tone, rustic washed wood side tables with a modern angular shape, and a large square cocktail table done in forged iron and glass.  The grouping is anchored by a hand-knotted grey and white area rug.  A dry bar includes a base cabinet with an undercounter wine refrigerator.

Ruta selected white Shaker style cabinetry and a grey quartz counter surface for the kitchen’s perimeter.  Cabinets with glass fronts flank the vent hood.  The backsplash is fashioned from glass tiles.  The island features a dark grey base and a granite countertop done in greys, creams, and whites.  An oversized silver pendant lighting fixture is suspended over the island.  White and grey washed-wood counter stools include woven backs and neutral-toned cushions.  The adjacent dining area includes a rectangular dining table with a weathered wood top and an angular shaped base.  Eight clean-lined straight back chairs are finished in light grey washed oak and a darker grey linen fabric.  An eight-light chandelier suspended over the table features elongated sconces.

The master bedroom features sliding glass doors leading to a covered loggia, a two-step tray ceiling, and double walk-in closets with built-ins from California Closets.  The bed is presented in light white and cream-colored linen detailed with dark iron trim.  An open trim headboard also features creamy linen and iron trim across the top.  The nightstands and dresser are finished in a pickled oak tone with bronze trim and an interesting circular pattern etched into the wood.  An area rug offers a combination of navy blue and grey also found in a bold watercolor art selection.  The chandelier features six clean-lined lights with a chrome finish and white shades.

Separate vanities are included in the master bathroom, each of which feature English Ivey finished cabinetry, counter surfaces with a mix of granite and crystal in whites, blues, and greys that convey a sense of movement, framed mirrors, Kohler fixtures, and a pair of sconce lighting fixtures.  Soft white flooring and a free-standing tub are also included.  The frameless glass shower enclosure features dual shower heads, corner seats, soft white tiled walls, and a flat-white pebble tile floor.  A glass and polished nickel chandelier provides yet another design highlight.

The Cayman II’s outdoor kitchen features a grill, an under-counter refrigerator, and NatureKast weatherproof cabinetry.  A large dining area includes a dining table with seating for eight.  A comfortable conversation area features a sofa, two side chairs, a pair of end tables, and a rectangular cocktail table.  The pool deck is fashioned from a natural shell stone material with decorative glass tile accents.

The Cayman II is one of three models now open at Windward Isle.  The two-story Grenada model features a floor plan created by Weber Design Group.  The 4,276 square feet under air open-concept plan includes a spacious great room, dining area, and kitchen, as well as a study with a walk-in closet, the master suite, and a guest suite on the first floor.  Two upstairs bedrooms and a game room offer an area for studying, entertaining, and watching television.  One of the upstairs bedrooms has a covered outdoor balcony.  The plan features four full baths and one half-bath, a three-car garage, and an outdoor living area with a covered lanai and pool.

The 3,074 square feet under air Sea Breeze I model designed by RG Designs was named recipient of the Parade of Homes Overall Excellence in Construction and Design award.  The floor plan includes a gallery hallway leading from the foyer to a great room, dining area, and gourmet kitchen with a vaulted tongue-in-groove ceiling that soars to 18-feet at its peak.  A single ceiling beam detail that carries through the space to the outdoor living area and windows located at the top of the walls provides additional architectural interest.  An optional summer kitchen and optional fireplace are included in the outdoor living area.  The plan features a study, three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths plus an optional pool bath, and a three-car garage.

Theory Design is also creating the interiors for Seagate’s models in Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club, Quail West, Talis Park, Hill Tide Estates, and Esplanade Lake Club.  Seagate’s furnished Captiva model in Hill Tide Estates at Boca Grande is open for viewing and features an interior by Ruta Menaghlazi.  Theory Design was named recipient of a 2019 Aurora Award for the Captiva’s interior in the Best Interior Design of a Home Priced over $2 million category.
