At Citrix, we celebrate International Women’s Day and the movement of #EachforEqual, supporting the belief that an equal world is an enabled world.

Since I started my career in the technology industry, there have been great strides to bridge the gap and build a gender-equal workplace. We know today that companies with women and other underrepresented minorities in leadership roles, perform better and are more innovative and productive. Yet women are still underrepresented, holding just 26.5 percent of senior leadership roles.

The drive to build a more gender-equal world requires us all to get engaged. It’s an “everybody” issue. We all need to think collaboratively and put in the hard work to lead change. I urge all women to consider tech as their first, or next, step to build their careers and join with those around you to bring greater diversity to the industry and to be a champion for change.
