Coroner IDs man found dead on northwest side, rules death a homicide

Update:

A man who was found dead Friday afternoon on Indianapolis' near-northwest side has been identified as 32-year-old Larry Owens.

Police found Owens suffering from undisclosed trauma in the 1400 block of Pruitt Street. The Marion County Coroner's Office reported that there are no autopsy results as of Saturday afternoon, but ruled Owens' death a homicide.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating after a person was found dead on the city's near-northwest side Friday afternoon. 

Officers were dispatched to a home in the 1400 block of Pruitt Street, near Riverside Park, just before 4 p.m., where they found a man suffering from an undisclosed trauma, according to the department. 

Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. 

Homicide detectives are investigating the death.
