Flames engulf tractor-trailer in Windsor Township, road closed, police say

A portion of East Prospect Road in Windsor Township — also known as Route 124 — has been closed down Thursday after flames engulfed a tractor-trailer, police said.

East Prospect Road, between Starview Drive and Christensen Road, will be closed until further notice, according to York Area Regional Police.

About 11:45 a.m., police and firefighters were called to the area for the fire.

There are no reported injuries associated with the fire, according to York County 911.

It was unknown what caused the truck to burst into flames.
