Milwaukee police identify homicide victim found on northwest side

Police have identified the man found dead Wednesday on Milwaukee’s northwest side as Leonard D. Bethly, 47, of Milwaukee.

Police launched a homicide investigation after Bethly was found with a gunshot wound along the 7200 block of West Herbert Avenue at 7:23 a.m. He had been reported missing sometime prior, according to police.

Police are searching for an unknown suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Milwaukee police at (414) 935-7360 or Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-TIPS.
