Traffic restored at Simi Valley intersection after crash closes lanes

A traffic signal went dark for a time Saturday in Simi Valley after a crash that closed lanes at Los Angeles and Sequoia avenues Saturday morning after a crash.

By 11 a.m., traffic at the intersection was flowing, the Simi Valley Police Department reported.

The two-vehicle crash was reported shortly before 9:20 a.m. The incident impacted Metrolink traffic as well when the collision spilled onto the railroad tracks and some train equipment, authorities said. No train was present at the time. As of 10:20 a.m., train travel had resumed, with trains being "walked through" the area, according to police.

One person involved in the vehicle collision was taken by ambulance to a hospital with injuries that did not appear life-threatening, officials said.
