Man shot and killed; police believe it was in retaliation for a previous shooting

A 25-year-old man was killed on Friday night in what police believe was retaliation for a previous shooting. 

According to Milwaukee police, officers responded to the scene in the 2600 block of North 17th Street about 10:35 p.m.

Witnesses said the victim was sitting in a vehicle when a man got out of another vehicle parked nearby, walked up to him and shot him, then returned to his vehicle and fled south. They described the suspect vehicle as a white four-door with tinted windows.

The Milwaukee Fire Department responded and attempted life-saving measures on the victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.
