Three Democratic National Convention 'community conversations' scheduled for next week

Three community conversations about volunteer and business opportunities and traversing the city during the summer's Democratic National Convention will be held next week in Milwaukee. 

The convention will be in Milwaukee July 13-16 and is expected to bring 50,000 people to the city.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for the three community meetings, with the events beginning at 6:30 p.m. The events are hosted by the Milwaukee 2020 Host Committee and the Democratic National Convention Committee. 

The first will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cooley Theater (second floor) of Milwaukee Area Technical College, 1015 N. 6th St. 

The second will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the gymnasium of Journey House, 2110 W. Scott St.

The third will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 3456 N. 38th St.
