26-year-old man dead after north side shooting; suspect in custody

A 26-year-old Milwaukee man died in a shooting Thursday evening on Milwaukee's north side, police said.

The suspect surrendered to police after the shooting, which occurred about 5:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Bobolink Avenue.

Officers and paramedics arrived at the scene and tried to save the man's life, but he died.

Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting. They asked anyone with information to call police at (414) 935-7360.
