Coroner identifies body of woman found two months ago in Springettsbury Township

A woman whose body was found in Springettsbury Township over two months ago has been identified as 63-year-old Sara Alley, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

An autopsy was completed back in December, but the cause and manner of death is still pending, according to the coroner's report.

Alley's body had been found by police along the 3800 block of East Market Street on Dec. 2, 2019. The body was believed to have been at the location for some time, possibly weeks or more, but there was no indication that criminal activity contributed to the woman's death.

There was no fixed address listed for Alley, but the coroner said she was last known to be living in the East York area.
