UPDATE:York man dies after being shot on Monday night, coroner says

York City police are investigating a shooting in the 400 block of Smith Street that left a 19-year-old man in critical condition.

Police were called to the area just before 6 p.m. Monday for a report of a shooting, according to a news release. After arriving, police found one adult male had been shot.

The unidentified man was transported to York Hospital, where he remains Tuesday afternoo.

York City police continue to investigate. They have not identified a suspect or motive for the shooting.
