Man arrested in Oxnard stabbing, police say
A man was arrested Saturday in connection with an Oxnard stabbing, authorities said.
Jesus Martinez, 22, of Oxnard, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after officers responded to a report of a stabbing victim about 5:50 p.m. in the 2700 block of South C Street, Oxnard police said.

There was a fight between a 21-year-old and 37-year-old Oxnard man and Martinez intervened, stabbing the older man multiple times in the upper body, authorities said.
Martinez was located a few blocks away from the scene and identified by the victim as the suspect, police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
Martinez was booked into Ventura County jail with bail set at $50,000, records show.
