Can you help? Elderly man struck in York hit-and-run, police say
If anyone has information on the Jan. 27 hit-and-run, they are asked to contact York City Police.
York City Police are asking for help in their investigation into a hit-and-run crash in which an elderly man was struck while crossing a street last month, according to a news release.
About 9 a.m. on Jan. 27, police responded to the intersection of North Richland Avenue and West Market Street for a pedestrian struck. Once there, they found an 84-year-old man, who they did not name, had been struck while crossing east in the northern crosswalk of North Richland Avenue.
A witness told police the striking vehicle was a dark-blue or possibly black Buick Enclave. The vehicle was turning north onto North Richland Ave from West Market Street. After striking the pedestrian, the vehicle fled the scene of the crash, police said.
