[unpaid/ad/sample/affiliate] Beauty brand x artist collaborations have introduced me to so many wonderful artists so I’m always happy to discover more. Somehow I hadn’t come across the name Morag Myerscough before although I feel I must have seen her work before without being able to attribute to her directly. As an absolute antidote to the grey days her work is bright, strong and graphic.

Bobbi Brown x Morag Myerscough Collection

I’ve had comments about the direction of Bobbi Brown in the past and agreed that sometimes it doesn’t seem to have locked down a particular course, but I love the unexpectedness of this and I think I might be coming to expect the unexpected from this brand which is a long, long way from the predictability of 200 shades of beige of old. I think I like it!

It’s a small collection – two lipsticks, a highlighter and a palette – but what it lacks in volume, it makes up for in vibrancy. The lipstick above is Peach Passion in the Crushed Lip Colour formula.

I mean, you’re not going to lose these in your make up bag! The other shade is Rosy Dream in the same formula and they’re £24.50 each.

When you open up the palette, you’re met with bold stripes and I guess you would say an elevated neutral colour selection. It’s split into mattes and shimmers with a bit of a sunset vibe so it can take you well into summer as well as cheer up these wintery days. I wore a really shimmery dark brown last night that looked deep and velvety on my lids and it has made me want to put on some other deep metallics – the top row fits the bill for that mood although I’ll probably chicken out and go middle!

I love the highlighter in Golden Rose Glow (which I think we have seen before) – it’s shown here post-swatch and I think I was too heavy handed – this type of highlighter only needs a light fluffy brush sweep for its purpose but for a swatch I do go in heavy so that you can really see the shade properly.

I got a brief ray of light for the palette swatch so you can see how they spring to life. It’s £36. The collection is HERE, non affiliate HERE.
