Winter weather causes delays and closures

A winter weather system came through Tuesday, February 4, 2020 dropping needed precipitation in Otero County.

The winter weather that came in Tuesday evening has lead to some closures and delays in Otero, Eddy and Lincoln Counties.

Otero County

Schools

Alamogordo Public Schools are on a two hour delay Wednesday. No morning Pre-K.

Cloudcroft Municipal Schools are on a two hour delay Wednesday..

High Rolls/Mountain Park Elementary is closed Wednesday.

Tularosa Municipal Schools are on a two hour delay Wednesday.

Courts

Otero County District and Magistrate Courts are opening at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Traffic flows along United States Highway 285 on the morning of Feb. 12 in Artesia. Snowfall hit parts of Eddy County Tuesday.

Eddy County

Schools

Artesia Public Schools are on a two hour delay, staff reports at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Carlsbad Municipal Schools are closed Wednesday.

Loving Municipal Schools are on a three hour delay Wednesday.

New Mexico State University-Carlsbad is opening at 10 a.m.

Courts

Artesia Magistrate Court is on a two hour delay, court will open at 10 a.m.

Lincoln County

Schools

Carrizozo Municipal Schools  open at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Ruidoso Municipal Schools are closed Wednesday.

Courts

12th Judicial District Court in Lincoln County is on a two hour delay Wednesday.

Carrizozo Magistrate Court is on a two hour delay Wednesday.

Ruidoso Magistrate Court is closed Wednesday.
