Another year, another winter where viewers of the Hanover Eagle Cam excitedly await a new arrival.

The live stream, run through a Pennsylvania Game Commission partnership with Comcast Business and HDOnTap, captures the activity of a bald eagle nest near Codorus State Park.

It's the sixth consecutive year that online enthusiasts document the pair of nesting eagles, and eggs are due soon, according to a news release from HDOnTap.

Last year, the first of two eggs was laid on Feb. 26, and a second egg arrived a few days later.

The eagle pair, referred to as "Liberty" and "Freedom" by viewers who like to provide updates in Facebook groups, successfully raised two eaglets last year, although not without incident.

One of the eaglets was accidentally knocked out of the nest in June, but it found its way back to the nest after about a week later.

This is the second year since the Game Commission awarded the live streaming permit to HDOnTap, which now oversees the eagle camera.

The eagle pair have been readying the nest for eggs since Dec. 21, according to HDOnTap. Based on past seasons, eggs are expected to arrive in late February.

"Freedom" and "Liberty's" followers can hardly wait.
