How Lowe's is repping Green Bay, and every NFL team, with its Super Bowl dwellings in Miami

Lowe’s built dwellings representing all 32 NFL teams for its Lowe's Hometown display at Super Bowl LIV in Miami. The Green Bay structure is called “Packer Pastures."

Packers fans, take comfort. Somewhere in Miami this week there’s a green and gold dairy barn repping Wisconsin.

For Super Bowl LIV, Lowe’s took on the ambitious do-it-yourself project of building a dwelling for every team in the NFL. Each of the 32 structures, decked out in team logos and colors, is designed to capture the region specific to that team. Together they make up Lowe’s Hometown, an interactive NFL-themed neighborhood that’s part of the Super Bowl Experience.

Green Bay’s dwelling, “Packers Pastures,” is a barn and silo with hay bales and hunks of faux cheese for seating. Inside, visitors can do their best Lambeau Leap photo opportunity against a backdrop of a Lambeau Field end zone.

Sorry, no cows — live or fake.

If you're wondering how the Packers' digs stack up against the those of its NFC North rivals, the Detroit Lions landed a rather swanky Motor City den. The Chicago Bears have their own bear/man cave, complete with a framed jersey of Staley Da Bear. And the Minnesota Vikings, well, theirs is a ship. Does that even count?

Each one is about 8 feet high by 8 feet wide and weighs 400 to 500 pounds. They were constructed in North Carolina and then hauled by eight semitrailers to their location at the Miami Beach Convention Center. That’s the site of the Super Bowl Experience, the annual theme park that pops up during Super Bowl week with football drills, obstacle courses, exhibits and autograph sessions with NFL players.

This year’s event features a 40-yard dash against NFL players on a giant LED screen, a virtual reality experience, a display of 52 Super Bowl rings, a locker room replica and photos with the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
