HENDERSON, Ky. - An Evansville woman was arrested at Ellis Park early Saturday morning after police and security personnel there allegedly found drugs and more inside her wallet.

According to a Henderson Police Department news release, officers with HPD were working at Ellis Park around 12:30 a.m. when security workers for the race track and gambling/entertainment venue brought them a wallet containing suspected methamphetamine.

"After field testing the substance officers located Alyssa Hart (2274 Covert Ave. in Evansville), who had a license and a debit card in the wallet. She appeared to be looking for the wallet. She stated it was not her wallet but she put her license in it. After a warrant in Vanderburgh County was confirmed, she was arrested for the possession and warrant."

The news release said that while searching her purse officers located more of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine and two syringes.

Hart, 29, was arrested and lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center for possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and being a fugitive from another state.

As of Monday morning, she remained in the jail on a $1,000 full cash bond.
