Six York County offices have new digs, according to a news release.

The offices opened for business Monday in their new location at 2401 Pleasant Valley Road in Springettsbury Township. It's the former Graham Packaging building and now will be known as York County at Pleasant Valley Road.

The six offices now housed in the new location are:

  • York County Conservation District
  • Weights & Measures
  • Center for Traffic Safety
  • Penn State Extension
  • Ag Land Preservation
  • Veterans Affairs
The former Graham Packaging building is now known as York County at Pleasant Valley Road.

All of the offices — except for Veterans Affairs — had been located at the annex at Pleasant Acres.

Veterans Affairs had been located in the York County Administrative Center in downtown York.

The phone numbers for the offices will not change.

The county announced in the fall of 2018 that it was in the process of buying the building for $17.2 million to relocate some of its offices.

The county says in the release that the new location, which is close to Route 30, will offer ample parking and easy accessibility.

More county offices are expected to move to the new location in the future to alleviate crowding in the county offices in downtown York.

The York County Coroner's Office, located at the county annex, will be moving in a few months to newly remodeled space at the York County Prison. The space also will include a new morgue.
