No-go for snow in most of southcentral Pa. this weekend, but here comes the rain

Higher temps in southcentral Pennsylvania have pushed out the possibility for a wintry mix on Saturday.

AccuWeather reports that  "all or mostly rain is likely from northern Virginia to central New England with the storm."

Despite rain taking over the forecast Saturday, AccuWeather says there's still a possibility for black ice in some places because of colder temperatures this week.

A snowfall map from the National Weather Service State College shows the possibility of an inch or less of snow north and west of Williamsport.

In York County, the Eagle Plunge and Winterfest at Cordorus State Park was postponed because of the forecast.

Saturday's forecast

York County: Rain throughout the afternoon with a high of 47 and a low of 32.

Chambersburg: Rain mainly before 1 p.m. with a high of 44 and a low of 31.

Lebanon: Rain before 4 p.m. with a high of 43. There's a 30 percent chance of a rain, snow mix after 10 p.m. with a low of 31.
