Woman killed in early morning crash on W. Congress St.

A 34-year-old woman was killed in a single-car crash early Friday morning, according to the Milwaukee Police Department. 

About 1:45 a.m., a car traveling east near the 4600 block of West Congress Street "failed to navigate the slight curve on the roadway and struck a tree," according to an MPD news release.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Milwaukee police are investigating the crash.
