Cloudcroft Brewing is 'Hop Stuff' in the Mountains

The brewery and pizza place is quickly building a following in Cloudcroft and beyond

With the help of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Cloudcroft Brewing Co. employed 30 people in its first two years and is already looking to expand.

In just two years Cloudcroft Brewing Co. grew into the nightlife spot for locals and tourists in the tiny mountain village outside of Alamogordo. The brewery boasts five house beers on tap, and an extra seasonal beer, as well as pizza, salads and soups, to complement the nightly entertainment.

“It’s definitely become a local gathering spot. This town really needed something for locals, for tourists, for outdoor people to gather after their day of activities,” said co-owner Matt Willett.

With the help of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Cloudcroft Brewing Co. employed 30 people in its first two years and is already looking to expand.

Cloudcroft Brewing Co. was being recognized as a Star Business by the Small Business Development Center at New Mexico State University, Alamogordo. Star Businesses are recognized annually by the NMSBDC Network at a special banquet at La Fonda on the Plaza in Santa Fe. Lt. Gov. Howie Morales and radio personality Kiki Garcia are slated to co-host the event sponsored by Century Bank and The Loan Fund.
