[affiliate/sample] I still have roses on my rose trees at the front of my house – I’m not enough of a gardener to know whether this is usual or not but I suspect perhaps not. That said, my cherry tree is flowering too so maybe spring has arrived early for us :-). Diptyque’s January smile-maker is Paris En Fleur, an absolute celebration of roses and power-packed in terms of scent, unlike my wan winter blooms.

Diptyque Paris En Fleur Candle

If you like a big boom of rose, it’s for you. There is patchouli in the mix which heightens its power but doesn’t detract from that sweet and clear floral scent.

Diptyque Paris En Fleur Candle

I had it burning in my kitchen yesterday infusing a joyful freshness that permeated the entire room and the surrounding two rooms – I think it’s maybe their most powerful yet or perhaps I love the scent of rose so much that I’m more attuned to it but this limited edition candle is very generous. The box and candle illustrations are a celebration of art nouveau, designed by Pierre Marie, to highlight Paris’s many architectural highlights in this style. It’s £53 for the 190g candle HERE, and there is a scented oval that might be rather lovely for the car or wardrobe. Non affiliate HERE. While I was checking stockist info on SpaceNK, I noticed a couple of extraordinary bargains – one, the REN Summer Skin Care Set HERE, down from £63 to £26.50 containing Evercalm Cleanser, Evercalm Moisturiser and Clean Screen SPF50. One to snap up and use straight away as well as By Terry Hydra Eclat Serum down from £76 to £38 HERE. In fact, there is quite a lot of notoriously expensive By Terry skin care at roughly half price.
