[sample/affiliate] I’m not sure how I missed this cleansing stick because it’s not all that new but it’s really the thing I’ve been looking for. I do several long weekend trips a year and the mini things I always struggle for to beat the liquid allowance are hair care and cleansers.
This Matcha Tea infused solid balm has exactly the right credentials to be my go-to take away. It’s very refreshing on the skin with a slight cooling feel (perfect for anywhere sunny and hot to take the heat out of your skin) and composed as a light oil once it hits your complexion. It doesn’t have much slip which is the only down-side but formulas for solid cleansers walk a tightrope between being liquid and firm with a tipping point that can’t be breached. You need to work the stick over your face, thoroughly, and then wipe away with a hot cloth. It didn’t quite meet perfect requirements for mascara, but I felt it did a nice job in removing the small amount of other make up I was wearing. I can see it performing well on sweaty skin that needs to feel thoroughly clean and cooled. The accompanying Toning Stick isn’t something I’d use particularly but it’s a useful skin cooler and especially good for a post gym skin pep as it contains witch hazel as well as matcha. Both are more geared in formulation towards oily skin.
The toner is almost double the price of the lavender infused cleansing stick which is £12 and very reasonable for that amount, while the toner is £22. You can find them both HERE, non affiliate HERE.

I have toyed with the idea of trying Milk Makeup for a while, especially their more innovative products, such as these cleansing and toning sticks. However, having read that it coped ok with ‘a little makeup’ but not with your mascara, I am swaying more towards it being a no from me.

If you like a generous amount of very loose balm, it’s not the same thing at all.. but as I say, I like it for certain circumstances.
