As many have eventually come to learn, the United States Mint’s cumulative sales figures have not been updated weekly on the Mint’s website since November 3, 2019. Thankfully, an update to sales figures between November 3 to December 16 has just been released.* The publication of weekly cumulative sales figures is expected to resume on the Mint’s website in January 2020. This U.S. Mint numismatic sales report covers the period between the last report on November 3 and the recent update on December 16. The Mint’s best-selling product this period was the 2019-S Proof Set (19RG), which sold 80,151 units. In second place was the 2019 American Innovation Delaware Reverse Proof coin (19GE) with 50,563 sold. The third best-selling item this period was the 2019-S Silver Proof Set (19RH), with 40,714 individual units sold. It’s followed by the 2019-S one-ounce Amerian Silver Eagle $1 Enhanced Reverse Proof coin (19XE), with 29,731 sold; and the 2019 Uncirculated Set (19RJ), with 28,340 sold.
This period saw downward adjustments of -424 for the 2019 American Innovation Pennsylvania 100-coin bag (19GBB) from the Philadelphia Mint, -205 for the 2019 American Innovation Pennsylvania 100-coin bag (19GBF) from the Denver Mint, and -163 for the 2019-W one-ounce American Silver Eagle Pride of Two Nations $1 Reverse Proof coin (19XB).
On December 19, the Mint will release the 2019 Georgia American Innovation $1 coin rolls and bags products.
The following are the U.S. Mint’s cumulative sales figures for the reporting period beginning on Sunday, November 3 and ending on Monday, December 16. “LKS” indicates that the number given is the last known sales figure for a sold-out item. Mintage and product limits are indicated, where applicable; if a coin is in stock but is nearing sold-out status, a link to the Mint’s product page is provided. Items in italics either are scheduled for release or have been released too recently to appear on the report; items in bold are appearing on the report for the first time.
* Note: The Mint has provided sales figures for 2019 products only, and the absence of 2018 and earlier products does not reflect their status on the Mint’s website.

Just want to tell a story ,had a guy from modern coin mart to see if there was anything I needed for my collection,I said 2019s reverse for $66.00,he laughed!!!,I said how did you get so many coins,he said they had a thousand people in their network ordering coins I told him thanks alot for screwing me,do not call me back and I will never order again from you guys

What’s amazing ssome of the mintage limit #s & the disconnect from REALITY. 750k clads mintage cap, sell maybe 50k? The Apollo 5s should have been 50k cap, wold have been a sellout & a winner now its a loser….
I did not get the ’19S RP, I had given 7 people the info, only one hit & sold his a week ago for $1,425…..awaiting my commission.
Jerry Diekmann says
JCQ – don’t fret about that 2019 ERP. It was a contrived coin that isn’t needed in any collection. Recognize that the whole episode was a fraud perpetrated by the Mint and the “big boy” dealers, who of course knew how to game the system, and theMint was perfectly fine with them doingso, which makes the Mint complicit in the fraud. I would not blame any collector for never buying anything from the Mint gain. It’s all gimmicks now, like all those “W” cents and””W” quarters minted earlier this year. Next year the Mintn will trot out more gimmicks and more collusion with the big dealers and the TPGs. This is not a hobby anymore, at least not for me.
All collectors should join Birddog and not patronize the Mint, the big dealers, or the TPGs. They are all dishonest merchants.
Hidalgo says
MNB or whoever.
Concerning the following sentences in the above article: “Thankfully, an update to sales figures between November 3 to December 16 has just been released.* The publication of weekly cumulative sales figures is expected to resume on the Mint’s website in January 2020. ”
Should one interpret these lines to mean that there will be no other sales data from now until January 2020? Or that sales data may be shared, but not on the US Mint’s website until January 2020?
Sherril says
Where are the other couple hundred ERP S mint ASE?
Tom says
@Sherrill- supposedly, once the mint has a clear count of leftovers, they will offer them for sale. Those that asked for a reminder will be notified first. For me, a text msg reminder works better than an email.
David says
Innovation dollars… what is the point? Have the mint learned nothing from past issues with dollar coins in recent years? I would actually collect these if the dates were on the front or back of the coin. There is plenty of room of the SOL side. Edge lettering is a big turn off.

I’ve been involved in Many an audit in my lifetime . The first thing you have to do in a Reconciliation from an audit process is find an Accurate starting place.
It’s Much easier to start with CY2019 numbers because you Know you have an Accurate starting place in CY2019…

@ David – I really like the American Innovation dollar. I agree, it would be nice if the date was on the front. Still, this is a nice series to collect.
As I have said before, the Pennsylvania RP dollar is really a great coin. The RP coin packaging is very well done and has a lot of good information. Get one of the Pennsylvania RP coins, you may change your mind.
The RCB says
@Larry, I agree. I was really impressed with the way RP looked on the Pennsylvania coin. Much nicer than the average RP coin.

Still guessing at the 2016 ASE proof total mintage since the sales occurred over such a long 5 year period. Anybody know the combined total for all the mintages together across all years and multiple product lines?

Only the 2019 PT Proof overlaps the 2o2o as a fuguly image, it looks like a woman wrestler or dude in drag? Really, for the price they have 8 year olds making the designs. The 2019 HR were also the worst looking design in years, maybe a salute to lobotomies was behind the 2019 design of Liberty with a leaky brain….. I know I don’t have to buy & I didn’t bt neither did A LOT OF PEOPLE.. look @ the sales # a 2 oz. AG medal I would drool for usually, this I wouldn’t use to balance a table….. IMHO the USM tried to goose the Frank Church P sales…..good luck player..

Both gold and silvers next move will either be a breakout or a continuation of the current trend. Gold did indeed find support and presented a good buy signal, which drove prices higher. Where now is the question. If I was betting on it, I would say it will continue the trend. However, that will mean a reversal move very soon. Possibly after a bull trap.
Dustyroads says
We know the mint has made a least one nice looking Pt coin. The rest are caught in a PC storm.

Though I get a few more 2019 Native American C&C sets before end of year. But, Mint is still mailing out poor quailty products. Four of the five sets I ordered had the Dollar Note way of center, they have known about that problem for months. Still they continue to waste their customers and their own time. Do they not check their products for quality. Or is it that they just do not have any Pride and/or don’t care about what they sell.
CaliSkier says
I finally got around to calling re: the 2019 Apollo Half Dollar set replacement for outer error packaging. They(4) are supposedly being sent with the proper artist/sculptor(?) designation/attribution. Why not have both, as I always see OGP for sale on eBay for almost every given product.
Jerry Diekmann says
For me, Lady Liberty on the Life, Liberty, and Happiness Pt coins looks fine. I don’t think Liberty was ever intended portray a woman who would win a beauty contest. Look at the images of Liberty on all our coins. Other than the Peace dollar and the Winged Liberty Head dime,, these images are certainly better than any other Liberty on our circulating coins, and that goes double for the fat Liberty that graces the Morgan dollars.

Members of the CCAC have been saying for years that they want to see modern renditions. It stands to reason that the Pd coin is a good platform for them.

So now that we have numbers, let’s run the Low-Mintage Wonder numbers on the Legion commems again. Here’s each Legion coin compared against the current record-holder in its category:
Gold proof: 10786 / 7347 = 147%
Gold unc.: 2756 / 2947 = 93.5%
Silver proof: 62559 / 31610 = 198%
Silver unc.: 13679 / 12234 = 112%
Clad proof: 27021 / 22392 = 121%
Clad unc.: 11138 / 11301 = 98.6%
Two of the unc. coins still have a technical chance to be Low-Mintage Wonders, but each is less than 200 coins below the current record-holder. The clad will probably sell about that many in the next two weeks at its usual slow-but-steady pace. The gold won’t make it over the line without an end-of-year bump in sales, but the needed bump is pretty small. We *might* just get through 2019 without any new Low-Mintage Wonders in the commems.
But, wow, how did the Mint sell 10K of the Legion silver proofs in six weeks?! Are we sure these numbers are good?
Mattarch says
My wife works in inventory control for a large company with warehouses around the country. Not coins. She says if sales numbers are changing and there is missing
product it sounds like embezzlement. Their bank’s auditors will be visiting all their warehouses on January 2 with the end of 2019 inventory reports to spot check inventory amounts.

18. My Assumption #6. The CY2019 numbers posted Above are Accurate.
The Mint has had Several weeks to get these numbers correct . November 3 numbers are the numbers you need to question.
19. My Assumption #7. The CY2019 numbers posted Above are Net numbers
You’re questioning whether the Mint could sell 10,402 since November 3? You are proving my point My assumption is the 43,484 number is Correct and the 33,082 was Incorrect.
There are Several Net numbers posted above that are Questionable IF November 3 numbers were Correct
“ The first thing you have to do in a Reconciliation from an audit process is find an Accurate starting place.”
November 3 was Not an Accurate starting place…

cagcrisp – do you see this bull market ending anytime soon? I thought it was too high a year ago and it keeps going up and I don’t see the fundamentals all that strong to keep the prices so high. And the PMs have all increased this year too and yet our country seems to be in a terrible position politically. I imagine a lot of the price increases has to do with the corporate tax decrease two years ago.But the worls certainly isn’t safer now than it was 2 or 4 years ago.

With dividends and a continuation of stock buybacks, I see upper Single digits for 2020.
I don’t like PMs because I don’t see the Fed lowering interest rates in 2020. I do see a lower USD which should help PMs.
I see the 10 year going above 2% which should hurt PMs.
PMs are Still being affected positively by Brexit.
The 2017 corporate tax decrease has Definitely helped stocks on both a PE ratio basis and stock buybacks.
Political speaking, in an election year, stocks tend to rise.
If one of the more Progressive Democrats gain traction in the polls, the markets will front run the election …

Does anyone think that the 2019-W American Legion Gold $5 Unc. Coin will close out above 3000? I am guessing the mint produced them in batches of 500, and with a count of 2756 by Dec 16, I could see 246 sold by years end, but it’s gonna be tight! Previous low for a $5 unc was Boys Town at 2999.
