Camarillo crash traps one person; injuries are minor

A two-vehicle crash Friday evening in Camarillo trapped one person who was ultimately freed and suffered only mnior injuries, according to authorities. 

The crash was reported at 6:32 p.m. at northbound Highway 101 and the Springville Drive off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A sport utility vehicle collided with a truck pulling a trailer, according to CHP. 

Multiple resources from the Ventura County Fire Department were dispatched to the scene and worked to free the trapped person. It was unclear which vehicle that person was in.

Once the person was freed, crews at the scene said they suffered only minor injuries.
