Chinn on good trade news

Missouri state agriculture director Chris Chinn says seeing a deal reached on the USMCA and now a tentative ag agreement with China is an early Christmas present for farmers.

“Since day one of me being director at the Missouri Department of Agriculture the USMCA is something I’ve been talking about – how important this is to Missouri farms and ranches.”

In regard  to the phase-one deal with China, Chinn says, “We are glad to know that come Sunday, December 15th, that there aren’t going to be those additional tariffs going into place. Because not only was that going to be tough on agriculture, it was going to be on the economy as a whole.”
