Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.


Federal Cybersecurity Research and Development Strategic Plan 2019

The Director of the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development Program is pleased to share the link for the updated Federal Cybersecurity Research and Development (R&D) Strategic Plan (2019)!

This plan provides guidance and defines priorities for Federal agencies that are involved in cybersecurity R&D, particularly in the areas of artificial intelligence, quantum information science, trustworthy distributed digital infrastructure, privacy, secure hardware and software, and education and workforce development. Notably, the updated plan highlights the need to understand the human aspects of cybersecurity; provide effective and efficient risk management; develop effective and efficient methods for deterring and countering malicious cyber activities; develop integrated safety-security-privacy framework and methodologies; and improve systems development and operation for sustainable security.
