Some times Peter and I are "late to the game", not often but some times, and we were very late to the Game of Thrones. We never saw one episode until this winter and here we are now 5-6 months later, all caught up. The reason we started watching at all was because I was tired of hearing people reference events that are part of the series, like the Red Wedding, and having no idea what the reference meant.
Now I have a bit of trivia that may not be widely known. Did you know that George R.R. Martin began writing Game of Thrones in 1991 and envisioned it being a part of a trilogy. Currently Martin is finishing his sixth volume in this series that will end with a seventh. And what is this entire series of epic fantasy novels known as? .... A Song of Ice and Fire.

Looking through some of my photos from this chilly winter I found several that I wanted to share with you here. I loved pairing the ones of ice and fire; I love the contrast in subject matter and in the feelings they respectively evoke within us. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do.
