See how the Postal Service deals with South Dakota's holiday mail

This holiday season, the United States Postal Service's Sioux Falls Processing and Distribution Center will handle millions of holiday cards, letters, packages, presents, magazines and more.

Inside the facility, a cacophony of noises collide — semi trucks unloading enormous boxes of mail from all over the country, machines sorting letters, magazines and more into different bins, huge conveyor belts moving packages towards one of hundreds of possible destinations.

It's all to make sure that everything sent through the mail gets there in a timely fashion — and that's with nearly double the volume of mail coming through as compared to the summer.
