The mobile working trend seems unstoppable. According to T-Mobile’s 2019 Workplace Mobility Report, 63 percent of global enterprises regard mobility as the most significant factor contributing to their competitive advantage.

But the freedom of mobile working comes with risks, especially when employees use their personal devices for work tasks. Enterprises seek to control and protect corporate apps and data from security threats. At the same time, they want to ensure a great user experience to promote higher productivity — the main goal of mobile working.

That’s where Citrix Endpoint Management comes in. Delivered as part of Citrix Workspace, this solution provides mobile device management (MDM), mobile app management (MAM), and platform MAM for iOS and Android. It’s the ideal management solution for Citrix Workspace, whether you use the Citrix Cloud services or deploy it on premises.

Get the Latest on Citrix Endpoint Management

Citrix continues to enhance the capabilities of Citrix Endpoint Management. On Thursday, December 12, our Ask the Cloud Experts (ACE) meetup will feature a short presentation by Citrix Architect Craig Tylek on two upgrades to the product:

  • Multi-mode server functionality: Until now, if an organization wanted multiple use cases within Citrix Endpoint Management (such as MAM and MDM for corporate-owned devices and MAM only for employee-owned devices), IT administrators had to use multiple servers, causing management complexity. Now, enterprises can create multiple enrollment profiles within a single environment via delivery groups, giving employees a tailored experience based on the access requirements and security needs of their job roles.
  • MDX roadmap: The MDX Service in Citrix Cloud currently enables you to create secure containers (app wrapping) that protect enterprise apps on mobile devices and control their access to device resources through policy. This mitigates the risk of corporate data loss. In the future, Citrix MDX will use containerization technology from Android and Apple to separate personal and corporate apps and data. The aim is to rely on these acknowledged experts in mobile devices to leverage the full capabilities of their platforms.
