[affiliate/sample] I cannot remember the last time I used a reed diffuser – I’m really not a fan of them on the whole but obviously there is an exception and you’re seeing it here.

Jo Malone London Pine & Eucalyptus Reed Diffuser

I’ve had this for quite some time but didn’t want to put the reeds in and fully commit to a scent that the whole family associates with Christmas until we were at least in sight of it.

Usually, we have the candle and obviously the scent is more controllable because you can blow it out – once those reeds are in it’s jingle bells all the way – except you could take them out, dry them off and dip again when you’re ready but what a faff. So, they’re in my front room which opens out into the hall near the front door and as soon as you come into the house, there’s that familiar scent which is lovely and welcoming. If you don’t know Pine & Eucalyptus, it’s rather a dominant scent but very much of the season and if you have a tree, park it near by and everyone will wonder why your tree is so generous on its pine-ness (don’t say this out loud after wine).

Other countries don’t have the same association with pine fragrance and cleaning products as we do so you do, in all honesty, have to get your head around that one but either my house smells Christmassy or exceptionally clean and I’m happy either way! The diffuser is an eye-watering £64 and is limited edition (you definitely wouldn’t want this at any other time of year!) but you can expect a good longevity from it to last you until your very last drop of festive good will is gone :-).
