The FGCU women will have to wait at least another week before entering the Associated Press poll.

Despite taking all three games in the Cancun Challenge - including wins over national runner-up Notre Dame and then-No. 21 USF - the Eagles were listed second among those also receiving votes in the poll with 28 points, one behind Syracuse and one ahead of South Dakota. By comparison, No. 24 Michigan has 42 points and No. 25 LSU has 41. FGCU hosts LSU on Thursday, Dec. 19.

FGCU (8-1) has not appeared in the AP poll since the 2014-15 season, climbing to No. 20 during a five-week stay in the polls.

The USA Today/WBCA Coaches poll will be released Tuesday afternoon. FGCU last appeared in those rankings during the 2017-18 season, landing at No. 25 in two separate weeks on the poll.
