Man found dead in vehicle on east side, Indianapolis police say

Indianapolis homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found dead in a vehicle on the east side Monday morning. 

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Genae Cook said officers responded around 9:44 a.m. near Emerson Avenue and East Minnesota Street. When they arrived, they found a man dead in a vehicle that police said had been reported stolen.  

Cook said the man had "undisclosed trauma." The Marion County coroner's office will determine the man's cause of death, Cook said. 

No additional information about the man's death was immediately available.
