Paterson police investigate shooting that left a city resident hurt

Police in Paterson were investigating a shooting that left a city man injured Sunday, authorities said.

Police responded to a report of shots fired on 12th Avenue at 11:30 a.m., the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office said. Officers found evidence of a crime, but no victim.

A short time later, city police learned that a 39-year-old resident arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center to be treated for a non-fatal wound, the Prosecutor’s Office said. No arrests were made.
