Going surfing Thanksgiving weekend in Brevard? What you need to know

Friday

Waves this morning will be mostly unrideable due to lack of a significant swell source and a mid-morning higher tide. Increasing northeasterly winds may produce some rideable wind chop later in the afternoon.

Saturday

A new northeasterly groundswell will gradually build wave heights into the waist-high range with chance for bigger sets along Brevard's southernmost surf spots. Expected lighter onshore winds should produce semi-bumpy conditions.

Sunday

I believe surfing conditions will improve as more northeasterly groundswell fills in. Winds will be determined by the timing of a new cold front's approach, but chances are favorable for southwesterly winds providing clean lines and fun conditions for the day.
