UPS driver shot in leg in Monroe

A UPS driver was injured in a shooting Wednesday evening in Monroe. 

According to the MPD, the shooting occurred in the 4200 block of Booth Street. 

The suspect approached a UPS driver and demanded the driver's keys. When the driver refused to provide his keys, he was shot in the leg. 

The suspect then fled the scene on foot. The driver's injury is not life threatening. 

The MPD is currently investigating leads in the case.
