Three Teaneck residents were displaced Wednesday night when a BMW caught fire in the driveway and extended to the house, police said.

The blaze happened at 594 Tilden Ave at 4:31 p.m., said Township Lt. Kevin Marrero.  The fire extended to the adjacent home - 592 Tilden Ave - but it remains habitable. The 594 Tilden Ave. home is not habitable while the BMW was severely damaged.

Residents were in the home at the time of the fire, but were safely evacuated, Marrero said. Red Cross was requested to assist the three displaced.
