BOISE, Idaho — A man accused of sexually abusing two girls was arrested Tuesday after he returned to the Boise area for Thanksgiving.

Investigators say 64-year-old Danny Ray Stoddard is accused of abusing an 11-year-old and an 8-year-old between 2015 and 2017 at a house in south Ada County. Stoddard moved to Mexico in early 2019, detectives say.

Detectives began to investigate, and prosecutors issued a warrant for Stoddard's arrest Tuesday morning. He was arrested on lewd conduct charges later that evening outside a business on Eagle Road.

Stoddard was booked into the Ada County Jail, where he remains held on a $500,000 bond. If convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
