NDN Athlete of the Week winner: Christian Fischer, Seacrest soccer
Seacrest boys soccer player Christian Fischer has been voted the Naples Daily News Athlete of the Week for Nov. 11-16.
Fischer, a senior defender, scored five goals in two games last week, leading the Stingrays to back-to-back wins to open the season. He received 422 of the 1,025 votes (41.2 percent) in the Daily News' online poll.
Naples High football player James Sylvestre was second in the poll with 211 votes (20.6 percent), followed by Barron Collier girls soccer player Ashlyn Freshwater with 193 votes (18.8 percent).
Winners receive an Athlete of the Week T-shirt by BSN SPORTS as well as a Naples Daily News gift bag.
There will be no Athlete of the Week poll next week because of the Thanksgiving holiday. The next poll will be posted at 7 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2 and will include results from the previous two weeks.

Dominic Mammarelli, Naples – Had a 65-yard touchdown reception against Miami-Central in the Class 6A regional semifinals
Football Defense
James Sylvestre, Naples – Intercepted a pass against Miami-Central in the Class 6A regional semifinals
Boys Swimming
Mason Laur, Barron Collier – Won state championships in the 200-yard individual medley and 400 freestyle relay at the Class 3A finals
Girls Swimming
Madison Feehery, Barron Collier – Won the Class 3A title in the 50-yard freestyle and finished second in the 100 butterfly
Boys Soccer
Christian Fischer, Seacrest – Scored a total of five goals in two wins last week

Ashlyn Freshwater, Barron Collier – Netted two goals in the Cougars’ 2-1 win over rival Naples
