WHAT’S MY DOG THINKING?

By Wednesday, November 20, 2019 8 No tags Permalink

It’s Wordless Wednesday, so I’ll be brief…

Have you ever looked at your dog and wondered – what’s my dog thinking?

He could be –

  • playing by himself
  • working on one of those food/treat puzzles
  • watching the lights and colors of the television screen.

I think about this often, particularly with Jaxson. He is so full of expressions, I find myself imagining his thoughts at any given moment.

BRAIN SCANS & DOG THOUGHTS –

New fMRI images of un-sedated dogs represent a first peak into what dogs are thinking and open a door into canine cognition and social cognition in other species

Could it be possible that Jaxson’s (or your dogs) expressive face might have some correlation to his activity?

Jax and I worked a long day together not too long ago. We ate dinner in my office and afterwards went out to run, romp and TCB #potty-break before my last volunteer interview.

He loves the hospital golf carts public safety and maintenance employees use as campus transportation. One of our favorite things to do is “Doodle-hitch” a ride when we’re headed to a meeting.

We came across an unattended one parked along our path. Here’s the series of photos that sparked this blog post.

WHAT IS MY DOG THINKING? –

Where’s the human who usually makes this thing go?…

How hard could this be?…

Seems to me this is all he does, so why isn’t it moving?…

HEY – can you put your camera down and help a Dood out?…

I guess it takes more than just me to make this thing go…

Dogs can bring so much laughter into our lives!

While these photo’s were staged #yestheywere there is research data out there that proves canine cognition does exist with fully awake, unrestrained dogs.

So when you’re watching your dog, keep in mind, your dog just might be watching you.

Our life is what our thoughts make it ❤️

Wordless Wednesday is a simple blog post featuring a photo which conveys a message that speaks for itself without using words

What great shots and yes sometimes I wonder what they are thinking. I think this cutie pie is waiting for you to get back in the drivers seat and let’s go for a spin.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

He may need to get a driver’s license for those days.

I think because he has a hospital badge he thinks he can use that one to drive!

I have no doubt Jaxson could drive that golf cart if he set his mind to it. LOL
Luke watches TV obsessively and reacts to every animal or crazy human he sees on there. I’m not sure he understands that TV is not real. 🙂

I think you’re right Jan, if he could have gotten it to move he may have fooled us all and rode away into the sunset!
