Shifting focus to 2020

Farmers wrapping up fall fieldwork are quickly shifting focus to the 2020 growing season.

Bayer agronomist Dan Kohler says there’s a lot to do.

“Right now it’s really important to look back at your notes to see what products performed.”

He tells Brownfield this is a busy time for seed dealers too.

“Our sales staff are already out there trying to take orders because just like every year, some of the highest performing products are going to go fast. So don’t want till the end because your chances of getting (those products) might be gone.”

Kohler saw some disease pressure in his territory of south-central Minnesota and says that should be accounted for when formulating a plan for the year ahead.
